Southland Breed Descriptions
There are three breeds found in the southlands; the Tigerhorse, the Apache, and the Striker.
About Tigerhorses.
The tiger horse is a fierce equine breed known for it's tiger-like appearence. They are usually stocky QH-type horses ranging from 15.2hh to 17hh. They have stripes on their whole coat and even in their manes. They are strong-boned and have catlike personalities. They have paws instead of hooves and a tiger-like tail with a bit of feathering at the end. They also have fetlock feathering. They have piercing eyes with pupils similar to that of a cat's. Their coats can be white, black, sorrel, buckskin, bay or palomino. Their stripes can be white, black, or dark brown, but always contrast against the coat color.
Example:: Tigerhorse
About Apaches:
The apache is a strong and willful equine breed known for it's stuinning markings and closeness to the naitive american indian ponies. They are usually pinto/paint or appaloosa/spotted colored and range from 13hh-16hh. They have odd painted markings (such as circles and human handprints) and often keep feathers in their manes. The warriors wear a red or blue (Red for stallion, blue for mare) circle around their eye. Apaches are very organized horses, the herd is led by a single lead stallion. there are no sub-herds in the Apache world. Apaches come in any equine color, but are known for the amazing pintos and spotted horses that are quite common in this breed.

Strikers
The Striker is a hot tempered horse with two rhino-like horns protruding from it's forehead and it's nose. They are usually larger horses, running 16-17.2hh. They come in all solid natural colors and the horns are always black or white. Strikers love to fight, from a young age colts can be seen having small play fights where they bash horns and headbutt each other. Although Striker fights are common, they are rarely fatal.
